Spring Chinook Salmon are renowned for the best-tasting salmon the Pacific Northwest has to offer. These fish are packed with oil and omega 3’s making them the healthiest and best eating fish of the year. We will be targeting these fish out of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers.  The Spring Season is relatively short on the Columbia and but continues on the WIllamette River when it closes.

Are definitely my favorite Salmon to target. Summer Chinook are some of the hardest fighting Salmon the NW has to offer. These amazing fish start running up the Columbia later towards the end of the Spring Chinook run. The fishing season for these fish is always short if we even get one. Washington and Oregon managers control the seasons and sometimes they don’t allow any harvest depending on the estimated return. Message me for details on upcoming season and I’ll keep you posted if they do allow a season and be sure not to miss out on these dates they are short and will go fast.
